"will of the people" argument

@Noflaps said ^

And still, he doesn't even take his substantial salary as president.

Trump’s a billionaire, right? The presidential salary is $400,000 dollars, which would be next to nothing for him, not substantial at all

I quite agree that his salary isn't a big deal to him.

But that doesn't change this: he's letting the U.S. keep it. He's not taking everything he can get.

The guy gets no credit from too many.

Compare him to the politicians who constantly groan about "the rich" but, interestingly, seem to become rich themselves while in office.

I wonder if some of their constituents have tried to buy any bridges.

"buy any bridges" * Trump has built more walls than bridges.

"presidential salary" * That is peanuts. The donations for the election are far more.

"why aggressive theocracies have a right to nuclear arms"

  • Israel is an aggressive theocracy and has 90 nuclear warheads and has not signed the non proliferation treaty.
During the Yom Kippur War of 1973 Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan readied 13 warheads of 20 kiloton TNT equivalent for use against Syria and Egypt.
Secretary Kissinger and U.S. president Nixon could avoid this by a massive air lift of conventional weapons, operation Nickel Grass.
Israel is aggressive: bombs Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Qatar as it sees fit with contempt for international law.
Israel is a theocracy based on their Bible that Jews are the chosen people and that God has promised them the land between the Nile and the Euphrates.
Israel has Jericho III ballistic missiles that can reach any city in the world.

In that light is no wonder that Iran might want a nuclear weapon too.
There are some 400 kg uranium enriched to 60% but that is nowhere near weapons grade 90%.
The nuclear weapons no longer figure in the U.S. narrative, probably because there are none, like there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq either.
Now it is about destroying the Iranian Navy and the ballistic missiles.

  • Israel is an aggressive theocracy

Israel isn't theocracy and can't become theocracy without a complete change in the political system.

Israel is aggressive: bombs Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Qatar

To prove Israel's aggression, it's necessary to list the countries that it attacked first (before they started war against it or assist terrorists). There are none on the list.

Israel has Jericho III ballistic missiles that can reach any city in the world.

No, it can't.

There are some 400 kg uranium enriched to 60% but that is nowhere near weapons grade 90%.

Uranium enrichment is nonlinear. Obtaining 90%+ from 60% is relatively quick. At the same time, Iran had no other reason to produce all this uranium.

The nuclear weapons no longer figure in the U.S. narrative, probably because there are none, like there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq either.

Of course there are no nukes. That's why the US attacked Iran's uranium enrichment facilities in the past.

Look at the state of the world and what's happening.

Do you really believe the the world leaders are sane? Are intelligent?

Do people benefit in any way by their idiocy?

Are people intelligent as they adore and follow these leaders?

"Israel isn't theocracy"

  • The state of Israel it is based on religion it is a nation for people of one religion.
The National Religious Party–Religious Zionism is in the government and bases decisions on religious texts.
E.g. the annexation of the West Bank violates international law, but is justified by religious texts on Judea and Samaria.

"There are none on the list."

  • All on the list were attacked by Israel before any attacks from their part.

"No, it can't."

  • I was mistaken, Jericho III has a range of 11,500 km, it is the Jericho IV of 2019 that can destroy any city in the World.

"Obtaining 90%+ from 60% is relatively quick."

  • No: the higher purity, the more difficult, as with any purification process.

"Iran had no other reason to produce all this uranium."

  • I agree. 60% is too high for civil use, but too low for a weapon.

"That's why the US attacked Iran's uranium enrichment facilities"

  • It is unclear what damage has been caused and what reparations were successful.
Point is the U.S. narrative was first about nuclear weapons, and is now only about the navy and the ballistic missiles.

Theocracy is defined primarily by the form of government. Even if Religious Zionism wins a majority and heads the government, Israel's democratic institutions will still prevent it from becoming a theocracy. Moreover, they are guided primarily by political and rational motives, not religious ones.

For example, Judea and Samaria are already part of Israel, a fact that doesn't depend on religious texts.

All on the list were attacked by Israel before any attacks from their part.

I don't even know what to say, that's a complete lie. The craziest lie is probably the claim that Israel attacked Syria first, since Syria attacked Israel literally on the first day of its existence.

Jericho III has a range of 11,500 km, it is the Jericho IV of 2019 that can destroy any city in the World.

11,500 km is a theoretical American estimate for an empty rocket, which wasn't even confirmed.
Jericho IV hasn't been developed yet.

No: the higher purity, the more difficult, as with any purification process.

60% -> 90% needs 23 times less energy than natural -> 60%.
When you have 60% enriched uranium, you already done 96% of work.
You can google calculator of Separative Work Unit.

Point is the U.S. narrative was first about nuclear weapons, and is now only about the navy and the ballistic missiles.

They are right anyway. Even non-nuclear weapons are used by Iran for mass terror.

"guided primarily by political and rational motives, not religious ones."

  • Conquer terrain, expel Palestinians and others as the religious texts say.
That is reminiscent of the Lebensraum and Übermensch ideas.

"Judea and Samaria are already part of Israel"

  • They are occupied, international law forbids annexation of occupied terrain.

"Syria attacked Israel"

  • Yes, in 1967 and 1973 but not in recent times.

Great, we've sorted out the US statements and the fact that Iran was close to making a Nuke.

Now for the rest:

Conquer terrain, expel Palestinians and others as the religious texts say.

Jews are Palestinians.
I still don't see any signs of theocracy in Israel.

They are occupied, international law forbids annexation of occupied terrain.

That's right. Judea and Samaria were occupied by Jordan and then successfully deoccupied by Israel.

Yes, in 1967 and 1973 but not in recent times.

The war for Israel's independence started way before 1967.

It has been developed since 2019 and media reported it could reach any city in the world.

So it was just another sensational headline without any evidence.

"the US statements"

  • First it was to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, now to destroy the navy and the ballistic missiles.

"Iran was close to making a Nuke"

  • Not nearly close. 60% is not 90%. Of course it takes more energy to centrifuge large quantities of uranium hexafluoride with a small amount of U-235 than a smaller quantity with a higher amount. It does take more steps to reach 90% than to reach 60%.

"Jews are Palestinians."

  • ??? Jews are Jewish, Palestinians are Muslim or Christian.
The Philistines inhabited Gaza, Askelon, Asdod, Ekron, and Gat since 1200 B.C. They are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible.

"deoccupied by Israel"

  • Jordan lost the war and Israel occupied the West Bank.

"the war for Israel's independence"

  • Started with terror attacks like the bombing of the King David Hotel in 1946.
The point is that Israel bombs Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Qatar without justification.

"headline without any evidence"

  • Israel has test fired the 3-stage Jericho IV in december 2019.
