You know this is good advice cos not even the author follows it

All great advice and an instructive article, although David Icke is indeed a truly horrible source :D @Avetik_ChessMood Have you considered replacing him with Kermit the frog? He has plenty of inspirational quotes too (the rainbow connection could remind us to always consider the full spectrum of candidate moves perhaps)!

@TurtleMat public shaming???

No. Avetik shames themselves good enough. Everything I said, avetik put themselves out in public.

I'm just pointing out how, for those who want to learn chess but would rather avoid giving their ressources to an actively mysoginistic person, or to someone who seems to find apropriate to try and make profit by quoting antisemitic conspirationists, or is too ignorant and lazy to avoid doing so.

It's also not a one time thing, Avetik, and Chessmood generally speaking, practices predatory advertisment on lichess, and most of those ad strategies are hatefull/degrading (Women are infected girls and objects to strategically earn, people with low elo are weak personalities, etc).

Just like Avetik does their advertisment here, I do counter-advertisment against basic manipulation. I do find it better when people expressing hatefull/ignorant ideas have less money and less power. But in the end, it's your money, not mine, so everyone feel free to go ahead and get scammed!

I mean, it is still kind of huge to accuse them right in the open, especially big claims like these, not defending ChessMood, just saying try to keep it to yourself.

But seriously, David Icke??? You know better than to quote him, even if it is a good quote there is still gonna be some bias.

10 Actual Things to Give Up to Enjoy Chess Fully:

  1. School.
  2. Job.
  3. Any other hobby.
  4. Social relationships
  5. Romantic relationships.
  6. Home (need to save up for new ChessAble course and we gave up our job and social relationships already).
  7. Car.
  8. Food.
  9. Sleep (Need to win that last bullet game first).
  10. Health (Carpe diem!).

No seriously. Chess isn't everything. I don't want to not eat or sleep and die in 6 days due to starvation. And even HOME too. I'd never be an orphan.
