I can share a tip that made my blitz, bullet, and even rapid rating go up for the whole 300 points. The tip is my quote:
"Newbies don't see a threat, average players just defend from it, and only epic guys counter it".
Or:
"If your opponent didn't make a threat, attack him, if he attacked you, counterattack him".
