How to become better at 3+0

ChessStrategy
Hello everybody today I will tell you some tips to become better at 3+0

Hello! As some of you know 3+0 is my main mode and is probably the most used one in team battles such as TPR and World. Today I will tell you 8 key tips that will hopefully improve your 3+0.

1. Have an opening for white and black. I would recommend the kings pawn as there is lots of videos on YouTube and lots of people to practice against. Know theory for at least an opening for white and an opening for black. This theory should be about 10 moves in, more if you have time to memorize.

2. Know all the common openings. If you see an opening that you have never seen before analyze it and find the best moves. Also find lines that you like to play against for common openings like the Sicilian and the queens pawn.

3. Keep an eye on the clock. We all have the bad habit of focusing on the game and not the time. It is okay to think in 3+0 but not every move. If you see you are low try to play faster. Glancing at the time every once in awhile can be the difference between winning and losing.

4. Practice Ultrabullet. If you end up getting low you will need to know how to play fast. I would recommend getting to at least 1300 ultrabullet for players already around 1500 in blitz. Always practice more because speed is the key when both players are low, NOT quality of moves.

5. Get a mouse! If you want to be good you can't use a touchpad or touchscreen. Most of you already have a mouse but if you want to be good you need one.

6. Practice and don't focus on your rating. Of course, the more you practice the better you will become. Also, don't worry about rating, for example, if you are 1604 and are scared of getting below 1600, still play! You will eventually have to play and if you wait a month you won't have everything as fresh in your mind. I have done this before so trust me from experience, DON'T worry about the rating. Yours or the one who you are playing. Do not have the attitude "Oh I'm going to lose because they are 300 points higher that me." If you have that attitude then you will lose.

7. If you don't know what to play, play something random. if you drop a pawn but that causes you opponent to think for 30 seconds it was worth it. Getting you opponent low on time is a success by its self.

8. The last and most important tip is DON'T resign. There is countless times where i have been hovering over the resign button but ended up coming back. You should never ever resign.

Thanks for listening, I hope it helps! That wraps things up for now. If you want more tips feel free to DM me and if you gain rating from this please message me about you success!
