The finals between @vlad_00 and @RoyalManiac were played

and it was a great match!!
I just want to raise this topic in public to make it clear who won it. I'm not gonna discuss it in pms between many people to make it clear for everyone.
As far as I can see organizers/mods and players believe that Royal won the event, however, due to the rules defined here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1P3j751JkQVtVH6V1L5rvHfEoP13tOzpBR2FdecOtxbE/edit (hopefully it won't be edited or deleted once I post this topic) @vlad_00 should have been declared as a winner.
Rule 6 "b. In some cases, extra games may not need to be played. The table below shows that Player C and Player D have both won 1 position and drew position 17. Player C has scored 1.5 and Player D has as well, but Player C would win the series because they have scored 3.5 game points. If the series is drawn in score by positions, the first tie-breaker would be the score of the series by individual game count.".
(In the given example the overall score is 3.5-2.5 or positionally 1.5-1.5)
Thus, since a score was 5.5-4.5, tie-breaks were not needed and @vlad_00 should be a winner. Rules also don't declare that this rule is different in the finals or it's up to players or moderators (read as @Francis920 ) to decide whether to discount "first tie-breaker" or not. Also, obviously, rules can't be changed in the middle of the final match.
PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG OR MISSING SOMETHING - this is why I create this topic

Thank you for your concern, I am glad to have people who read the rules and make sure the tournaments run according to their rules suggested.
First off, for those who do not know, I am @ThisIsRex the original organizer and tournament moderator for the 2021 RK1440 Open Championship. I drafted the rules with @RoyalManiac and then finalized them on my own, creating and running the first half of the tournament on my own. A situation occurred relating to my previous ban and I was forced off of lichess, therefore unable to continue supervising the tournament. Due to this, the tournament directors left were @RoyalManiac and @Francis920. Since @Francis920 was the only tournament director eliminated from the rest of tournament play, he became the primary tournament director and therefore the interpreter of the rules.
As you know, the rules were slightly disregarded from the second single-elimination round and forward. Anything related to predetermined positions were thrown out. From then on, it became the discretion of the tournament director, @Francis920. Leading into the finals, he only used precedent to judge how tie-breakers should happen (the match between Venufork and RoyalManiac). Due to this, he did not interpret game score as a tie-breaker. It was discussed in The House Discord Server and agreed upon by RoyalManiac, vlad_00, and Francis920 that game score would not be a tie-breaker. I, unaware of this, in the moment confronted Francis920 about this decision, and realized that agreement would have greater ruling over the situation than my initial rules.
As for technicalities, I only specified tie-breaker situations for 6-game, 3-set, series and not the final series itself. Due to this, by technicality, vlad_00 is not the champion, rather Roy still is. Thank you for your concern and I hope this clears things up. This is the public message regarding this and no further discussion should be done. Please private-message @Francis920 or myself about this situation if further explanation is required.
Added after: Francis920's initial message in The House Discord Server regarding game score:
"RoyalManiac" and "vlad_00" just a reminder, you are playing in 1 and a half hours, and you will be playing a 5 set match, with 2 games per set. Regardless of the score, please finish all 10 games. The winner is the person with the most SETS, not GAMES, so theoretically, you could lose the match, but win the games 5.5-4.5 or something like that. Sarang and I will be streaming, possibly with Kex? Good luck to you both, and thanks to everyone for making this tournament a success. You still have one hour to bet in #betting. You can still places bets on Vlad and exact outcomes. Thank you!
