Quite recently, US officials made some rather harsh statements about Venezuela.

What do you think about this? Is it another bluff to stir things up and increase the pressure?

It's about oil.
Interestingly, Trump just announced that he will pardon former Honduras president, currently serving a sentence for drugs trafficking.
The "war on drugs" is a joke and everyone knows it.

By the way, the US don't really need to invent a story about fighting drugs.
Many recognised terrorist organisations, such as Hezbollah and Tren de Aragua are based in Venezuela, so technically Trump could use this as a legal reason for the operation.

No bluff here, they're dead serious (pun intended). I don't ́know, but as someone already said, it could very well be a distraction from certain political pressure facing Trump. And from what I can tell, Trump is exactly the kind of person who would rather start a war instead of facing a public humiliation.
But we'll see what ́s gonna happen. Apparently Russia have some troops around, so it ́s not gonna be easy for either side.

And? A few major drug trafficking groups is not enough reason to bomb "alleged" boats carrying drugs and borderline declare war on another country.

All I can say is that Maduro is no longer a legit president. He showed how to steal an election!

Another sad example that human rights do not apply to the most powerful on Earth. Theoretically, it would be on us to create enough public pressure to stop this, before people die. But it's almost always just a couple activists, not the general population. It's very understandable, because people have difficult lifes, but on the other hand...

Just a cue from his buddy Netenyahu who would be in jail for corruption if it weren't for his war.
