Hi everyone, I have a problem could anyone please help me?
I am playing a really important tournament tomorrow and I am so nervous, My stomach hurts since mornning and I cant focus on
anything beside how much I am stressed.
It isnt my first tournament otb,In fact I have played many tournaments but I have never been this stressed before.
I think the worst thing about this tournament is that it is played in teams of two players and I dont really know my teammate that well. I am so scared that I will play badly and ruin his chance at placing somewhere decent on the leaderboard. It has already happend to me once that when I was playing on team everyone played very well except me. I scored 1/5 and destroyed the placement of the whole team.
The other bad thing is that nearly everyone at this tournament is objectively better at chess than me and nearly everyone has a bigger elo than me. And I dont mean like a small difference, some players have about 700 bigger elo than me. I will lose every game.
I dont know if this make some sence, I am really sorry If it does not english isnt my native language.
If someone read the whole thing thank you and do you have any tips for me?

You're among the lowest rated? It means the bar is low and there's a good chance you'll exceed your predicted performance.
Your teammates know your rating is low and won't be expecting miracles. Play your own game and focus on the board. Be aware of the other results as a draw may be all that's needed from you.

"dont really know my teammate"
- Never mind, focus on your games.
"I will lose every game."
- Think carefully and use all your time.

Just focus on your game, practice your openings and stuff and you're good to go.
Good luck on your tournament!!

If you are the lowest rated, the competition must be strong indeed. I am probably not qualified to give a player of your caliber chess-related advice, so here are some other things to watch out for:
- Get at least seven hours of sleep.
- Remember to stay hydrated during the tournament.
- If you panic mid-game, try some breathing exercises.
