This skill issiues - if existing- are not your concern. It is only my wild guess, but i think she never asked you for help and never will do for very good reasons. If you don't believe that 1500 players can have successes to be proud of - well let me put it in this:
Feeling that bad like you do and claiming to be able to do a single thing better than another person don't makes this person as worthless as you truly are as you has proven yourself.
She can get better at chess - no such easy way to feel better for you.....
