Thanks for the article! This is something that can be especially difficult to learn when one has ADHD. It's a great reminder.
To avoid spending too much time on social media and YouTube, I keep my phone in black and white and in nightmode. It works really well, has the advantage of being less tiring for the eyes and doesn't affect chess at all. In fact, I'm now looking for a way to get my attention off of chess :)

i understand but children have to play i mean improving your style in chess is important and i think once you are an adult and have a important game tomorrow then u ofcource have to rest your mind but as a kid it is better to play than rest because your mind is always active but as an adult you have to rest because your mind isnt as active
