What does it mean when a game is suddenly stopped with the message: "Cheating detected. Black/white wins"
It happened to one off my oppenents and the game analysis showed that either of themplayed brilliant, on the contrary.

@Diderot2 When a user opens the analysis board in a new tab, the system thinks that cheating is taking place (but this is only one of many possibilities).

To add to derkleineJo's answer, the player opening an analysis board during play is precisely when that message occurs and the game is stopped. Because it can be a simple error, the player is only given a warning (plus loss of the game) the first time it happens.

Thank you both. But this gives me the impression that using a opening database in a correspondence game is, in this case, regarded as cheating. However, the fair play rules of Lichess say otherwise.

No, in a correspondence game (on lichess) the opening explorer or other opening databases are explicitely allowed. Using an engine (e.g Stockfish) is not.allowed. But the exception for opening databases applies only to correspondence games, not regular time controls.

Stupid rules anyway.
Of course an opening database contains a lot of engine generated moves. It's a mix of human moves and engine moves.
Correspondence chess is long dead but cheating was going on before strong computers even existed.
Some correspondence cheaters used human GMs to analyse their games back then, for example.

#2 and #3 seem to answer your question well. What part of the question was not answered?
