Create a piece set appropriate for dark mode

I think you should add at least one piece set appropirate for dark mode because playing in a dark room with the current piece sets available is hard for the eyes.

I think modifying the background color of the first piece set and removing the white background would be acceptable.

@vcrobe, try changing the opacity in the Board settings. It also affect the pieces. This is how it looks by default:

Any darker and you can't see anything. Perhaps it has to do with the black pawns not having a border.

I tried that option before posting here.

As you can see in your screenshot the problem still remains.

The white pieces are still white and as you said the black pieces are difficult to see.

I can probably craft a CSS style to add to Stylus that achieves what you want

I also don't like staring at bright images, day or night. This is the best scheme I could come up with using the options within Lichess. Even though I need to get laser eye surgery I can still tolerate this scheme.
