The Day It Finally Happened — My Racing Kings Shield Victory

ChessTournamentChess PersonalitiesOver the boardChess variant
After years of trying, countless close calls, and a long personal journey both on and off the board, today became the day everything finally came together.

Breaking My Peak, Claiming the Shield

Every player has that one moment where everything clicks. For me, it happened at the very start of the Racing Kings Shield, when I broke my all‐time peak in the opening games. The game that pushed me there wasn’t just any win; it was against Gleb , the former Shield winner and the current runner‐up. Beating him set the tone for everything that followed.

From that moment on, the momentum was real. The pressure, the speed, it all built into the run that would eventually carry me to the Shield itself.

The Game Where I Broke My Peak

Right at the start of the tournament, I hit a new personal peak. That game set the tone for everything that followed.

Winning the Racing Kings Shield Arena / My story

For years, I’ve been chasing this moment. Always close, always fighting, but never quite reaching the very top. I’ve finished in the top 3, top 4, countless times — but the Shield Arena title kept slipping away. Until today.

This victory means more than just a trophy. In real life, I’ve been struggling, carrying stress and searching for something to motivate me, something to give me a sense of relief. Racing Kings has been that outlet. Some might think it’s silly, but for me, this variant has been a source of focus, joy, and resilience.

Over the past months, I came back more determined than ever, fully focused on Racing Kings. That focus led me to climb to first place on the world leaderboard , reaching the milestone of 2500 rating— a number I’ve dreamed about for years. And now, winning the Shield Arena, I’ve achieved another goal I set for myself four years ago.

And the Journey Doesn’t Stop Here

This isn’t just about one win. It’s about making history step by step, building a legacy in a game I love. The Shield, the leaderboard, the milestones, they’re all part of a journey that’s still unfolding. I know there’s more ahead, more challenges, more goals to chase. But today, I can finally say: I did it

And tomorrow, I’ll keep going.
