An Introduction to... Me

I am Stormy. Stormy the Dog. Nice to meet you! I am a crossbreed consisting of 50% Husky, 25% Belgian Malinois and 25% Pomeranian. You've probably seen me on Twitch during one of my owner's streams. He's put in quite the amount of hours into the antichess game, and since I've been watching him all the time. Now it's my time to shine! Behold, a dog plays antichess!

My Antichess Game

I've seen that as far as move 1 goes in antichess, it is quite rigid compared to regular chess. Many lines immediately put you at a disadvantage or even immediately lose you the game. Luckily, since I've watched so many games. I learned that e3 is the strongest opening for white. So my owner set up the game and he offered me to play with the white pieces.

As part of chess etiquette an offered handshake can't be refused. I also learned that doing so while staring into my opponent's soul tends to break their concentration.

I opened with e3. But I immediately did all sorts of illegal shenanigans. I don't have an opposable thumb. I have other ways to move pieces around the board. But apparently with mixed results.

This suits my style more! I managed g4 on the board.

To assert dominance, I again stare into my opponent's soul.

After a couple moves, I managed a decently difficult midgame. My opponent decided to take a lot of time. I don't have a very good attention span. But taking your mind off the board can actually be a good thing when it comes to long games. There is an everlasting debate between bullet/blitz/rapid antichess. I think bullet is most suitable for antichess. I don't have time for these everlasting games. I want a quick treat.

More time passed. There was something on TV. So I decided to watch that instead. It looked important.

My opponent went on to use almost all of his time to calculate the position. I turn back to the game. Oh no, it seems that I have lost!

Luckily I have a back-up plan. I attack my opponent so that he is unable to finish the game! There. My first ever antichess game. I win 1-0
