The first classical event of the 2026 Grand Chess Tour have being place in Romania with 10 elite players facing each other in a round robin format. The line up is formed by: Candidates winner Javokhir Sindarov, US Champ Ffabiano Caruana, Candidates runner-up Anish Giri, The top 7, 8 and 9 of the world Vincent Keymer, Alireza Firouzja & Wesley So, 2 european top guys as MVL & Van Foreest, Olimpiad winner Praggnanandhaa and the local hero and Rumania nº1 Bodgan-Daniel Deac. Each day i going to analyze the best games of the round.

Debuting vs the Best

Keymer said in the interview that this is his first game with the Najdorf defense over the board.
Incredibly that he managed to outplay the best najdorf player in the world.
